VidyaPeetam - Vaanamaamalai

On July 1st, 2018, we had a wonderful opening ceremony of our HH Sri Vanamahachala Vidyapeetam at Srirangam under the auspicious presence and leadership of Srimath Paramahamsa ithyadhi Madhurakavi Vanamamalai Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy. The grand event was attended by many Srivaishnavas.

We are very thankful to our Emperuman, Azhwars, Acharyas and well-wishers for the wonderful commencement of this noble initiative.

Since the opening ceremony, wonderful developments have occurred there in SrIrangam Vanamahachala Vidhyapeetam. We want to provide an update on the progress of the Vidhyapeetam program. Since the opening, we have began the classes in the new premises which has several classrooms, living quarters for the students & faculty and other facilities including a Goshala.

We now have multiple Vidyarthis (students) enrolled in our Patasala and are waiting for few more students to join soon. The students are attending the classes with great eagerness and discipline. Over the last 3 year, we have made wonderful progress, thanks to the guidance of Jeeyar swamy, time from volunteers and donations from people like you! In order to sustain the VidhyaPeetam activities on a continuous basis and recruit additional vidyarthis, we have to rely on kindness of donors/patrons like you. At this auspicious time of Ugadhi and tamil new year, we invite those who are interested to donate to this noble cause, to contact us and donate liberally even if it is a small amount. Objectives of VidhyaPeetam Program:

Propagation of the Hindu religion and its associated principles.
Research of Vedic (Hindu religion) and other related scriptures.
Conduct Hindu Religious classes for qualified students.
Construct schools and hostels to host the students and in- house/visiting scholars. The classes are run by highly learned scholars from the Hindu Vedic school of thought.
From time to time the schools are also involved in Medical and Humanitarian Relief (during times of calamities), text books/brochures publications and conduct excursions/field trips.
Support activities of like-minded organizations around the world.
Invite and host learned scholars for organizing study group events.
Periodic discourses by inviting scholars primarily from India.
Organize events and programs towards propagation as well as fund raising.
